Trade and tourism ties between UAE and Thailand are expected to hit a new high as Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator announced the launch of its direct flights between Sharjah and Bangkok in Thailand.
The new flights between Sharjah International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok will operate daily, starting from June 30, 2023.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our latest route to Bangkok, the vibrant capital city of Thailand. This exciting addition to our route network from Sharjah International Airport reaffirms our unwavering commitment to continuously provide our customers with new options of affordable air travel.”

Customers can now book their direct flights from Sharjah to Bangkok by visiting Air Arabia’s website, calling the call centre, or through travel agencies.
Air Arabia has added 9 new routes to its global network from its seven hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, Armenia, and Pakistan during the first three months of 2023, serving passengers with its modern fleet of 68 new Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. In January, Air Arabia was marked among the top 20 safest low-cost airlines as per Airline Rating 2023 and was awarded “Low-Cost Airline of the year” at Aviation Achievement Awards 2023 in March.
